Experience
I want to be a tutor in the Arabic language because I personally learned the language with only native instructors, and I know that although this is very valuable learning approach, it was always nice to have a non-native speaker to explain methods on how to learn the material, as native speakers have not had to learn in the same way. I graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 2012, after which I started working as a translator. Post-Navy, I enrolled at OSU and tested into the fourth semester of Arabic at Ohio State and I'm currently enrolled in the fourth semester. I worked for four years as an Arabic translator for a government agency while I was active duty.
