Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree from Ohio State University in exercise science education. While there I was the defensive back for our football team. This put me in the unique position to tutor fellow teammates which gave me valuable insight into the discipline of teaching. I am currently pursuing a degree in medicine while working as a personal trainer and tutor. I am available to tutor a wide variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about the field of science. Some of the courses I tutor include algebra 1 & 2, physics, geometry, elementary math, biochemistry, biological and biochemical foundations of living systems, middle school math, cell and molecular biology, chemical and physical foundations of biological systems, pre-calculus, foundations of behavior, statistics, critical analysis and reasoning skills, trigonometry, anatomy, English, biology, organic chemistry, exercise and health science, physiology, nutrition, elementary algebra, sociology, psychology, and general chemistry. I also work with AP and IB students in similar fields of study and I enjoy helping students prepare for standardized exams such as the SAT, MCAT, ACT, and GRE. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help my students achieve their academic goals but also their personal goals through a focus on subject material and additional resources and techniques for independent study and time management.
