I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from Columbus State University in molecular genetics. I began my tutoring career while I was still in high school. My mother was a special education teacher and I had the opportunity to work with students in her school that were struggling with their coursework. This laid the foundation for my interest in working with students. I know from personal experience just how challenging education can be. I struggled for many years with my own education and it is important to me to offer support and inspiration to those students who are struggling so they have the opportunity to achieve their academic potential. Geometry is my favorite subject to tutor, however, I offer tutoring services for a wide array of coursework, including algebra 1 & 2, writing, reading, elementary math, trigonometry, chemistry, German 1 & 2, physics, pre-algebra, science, American literature, anatomy & physiology, British literature, and essay editing. I work with students in elementary, middle, and high school as well as college. My philosophy as a teacher is that the best way to learn is to do something yourself. I work with each student individually to increase their confidence in approaching problems on their own. My ultimate goal is to develop a student's confidence to the point that they look at difficult or unfamiliar subject material as an interesting challenge rather than an obstacle.
