I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Spanish. I graduated from the Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Spanish and International Studies with an emphasis on Latin America. Additionally, I graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico in San German. I also have master's degrees in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Education Administration from the University of Phoenix. I also have experience studying abroad in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Spain. I have twelve years of teaching experience in a wide range of areas, including Language Arts, Reading, Government, History, Social Studies, Science, ESOL, and Spanish. I am comfortable tutoring both adult students and high school students. I am the most passionate about teaching Social Studies, History, Government, ESOL, and Spanish. My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes encouraging students and helping them develop effective study skills. I did not always excel as a student, but encouragement from my teachers, work ethic, and proper instruction helped me a great deal. Helping students develop confidence can go a long way in helping them succeed. In my free time, I like to learn new languages, read, participate in martial arts, play basketball, meet new people, and explore different cultures.
