Education
I have my bachelors and masters degrees in Social Work from St. Louis University. I have also taken undergraduate and post graduate coursework at The Ohio State University, primarily in education.
Experience
I have worked in hospitals, a mental health clinic, have taught as an Adjunct at 3 universities, and have worked in education for over 20 years, as a teacher and school counselor. I have worked with diverse populations, including at all grade levels. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects to include study skills and organization and English. As a school counselor I have conducted many small groups on a variety of subjects. I have worked with students who have been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD as well as other diagnosis that can sometimes get in the way of students being successful. I am trained in Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens." I have presented at state conferences as well as at numerous professional development opportunities. I want to help students reach their potential, while developing more self awareness and confidence. I also am working on developing a life coaching practice and writing a series of childrens' books.
