I earned a bachelor's degree in History from Ohio State, and continued onto Cleveland State to earn a master's in Education. I am certified to teach mathematics for junior high and high school. I plan to return to college for certification to teach History at the same level. I am available to tutor in either subject.I have a strong passion for mathematics and work to keep my skills sharp. I enjoy passing on my love for math and assisting students who may be struggling. I am able to help with many topics and classes, including Algebra 1-4, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, Trigonometry, and Competition Math. I also have a strong interest in History, and I am available to work with students in general Social Studies, Geography, and American and European History.I have plenty of experience with standardized tests, and I can assist students with preparations and techniques for performing well on them. My specialties include the ACT (Reading, Math), the SAT (Math, Verbal, Critical Reading), and the GRE.I am a compassionate and patient tutor. My techniques focus on building an understanding of underlying concepts of the material being studied so the student is able to understand and retain the subject long term. This deeper understanding may seem difficult at first, but it leads to a more fulfilling end result. I aim to create a low-key, supportive environment in which students are able to work toward their goals. In my spare time, I enjoy films, and I am often found attending the cinema. I also have a keen interest in literature.
