Experience
My tutoring experience comes from a variety of sources. During the 1994-1995 school year I was a Language Arts instructional assistant for a middle school in Kentucky. In 1995 I began a 20 year career as a Library Specialist where I developed literacy programs for K-12 students, as well as tutored them in English, History, and Science during after school programs. In 2009 I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher while earning my M.Ed. from the University of Findlay. As a sub, I taught all grade levels, K-12 and tutored in all subjects to include Math. Currently I am a Early Intervention Specialist teaching toddlers with special needs. I want to be a tutor, particularly in reading, because the state in placing such an emphasis on reading scores that I feel it is necessary to assist students where I can, so that they can achieve academic success.

My interest including reading, writing, and going to the park with my daughter. As a family we loving traveling, watching movies, and going to museums. I have worked with school aged children since 1995 and my passion is to develop young minds.
