Hobbies

My major research efforts have focused on psychological theories rooted in teaching and learning, with particular focus on students’ motivation, entrepreneurship, cognition and competence beliefs (e.g., self-efficacy and implicit theories of ability), among adolescents and young adults. I belief the common denominators in all forms of human progress are committed innovative individuals with passionate vision. An individual’s engagement and entrepreneurship is the foundation for group innovation and improvement. That is why I have been fascinated by Bandura’s (1986) social cognitive theory, a theory that attributes learning to the occurrence of transactional relationships among an individual’s innovative behavior, environmental factors and personal factors of entrepreneurship (Bandura, 1986). That is why specifically, my research has focused on perceived self-efficacy, a fundamental component of Bandura’s theory. Bandura posits that self-efficacy represents individuals’ “beliefs about their capabilities to produce designated levels of performance that exercise influence over events that affect their lives” (Bandura, 1993, p. 71). I like traveling, watching intelligent movies, I engage in people watching, I like people generally.
