Over a decade of private tutoring experience. Tutored test prep (ACT/SAT/PSAT) and subject area (chemistry, all levels of math, history, science). I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at OSU, and have now taught and graded for several college level classes, including Modern European History, African American History, and early US History this spring. GRE scores: 800 math, 720 verbal (January 2011) SAT scores: 800 math, 770 verbal (Spring 2015) I have also taken several practice ACT tests, under normal test conditions, as qualification for various learning centers. My last ACT practice I got a combined 35, including a perfect 36 in both math and science. I applied my own methods to prepare myself for the GRE, which is like the SAT on steroids, and I scored in the 99th percentile overall. I want to be a tutor to help students (and parents!) get over their test anxiety and prepare to excel at the college of their choice. Other impressive items: I've appeared on both Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire. As a history major I am pretty much required to read and assimilate large amounts of sophisticated material quickly, and I can show any student how to do that as well. Even with almost three years of intensive history reading and writing under my belt, I still haven't lost my mathematics edge!
