2011 Graduate from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors degree in grades 7-12 Reading/Language Arts Education, minor in English.
Experience
After my student teaching experience in 2010-2011, I obtained a long term substitute teaching position at Knox County Career Center where I have further developed my teaching abilities. Due to uncontrollable circumstances, my position with the school lengthened, from teaching 10th/11th grade English to teaching 12th grade English. My latest project with the seniors at Knox County was to revamp their resumes and work on their interview skills. Students participated in a “mock-interview” unit, which deepened my realization of passion to help students graduate. Currently, I am bouncing between districts as a substitute, but my previous years of experience with young adults also include summer theatre groups. Here, I assisted direction and co-managed productions with the Fremont Community Teen Theatre in my hometown. This allowed me to interact with various young adults from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
