Mikaila W.
Private tutor in Columbus, OH
Education
I graduated from James Madison University with a 3.49 GPA and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science in 2016. My first 3 years of college I was an education minor, but realized I enjoyed the teaching without the structure and pressure of the school system so I changed my minor to computer science. I will be starting my graduate degree in the fall at Utica College in New York for Cyber Security Operations.
Experience
I tutored college algebra and stats students as well as high school calculus, middle school math, and Java programming. I currently help teach a high school robotics team basic Java and I spent two years as a software engineer for Chase. In college I started my Math degree with a concentration in teaching, but I found I enjoyed industry and computer science more. I student taught with both a middle and elementary school, but I love teaching math and computer science to all ages.
