Experience
My passion, academically speaking, is English, whether it's writing, reading, grammar, literature, whatever. I earned my bachelor's degree in English, with a focus on Creative Writing, from Virginia Tech, and graduated summa cum laude. Next, I will be pursuing my master's degree in Creative Writing. I have had numerous opportunities to teach students, beginning in high school when I was a swim instructor. I have also been a private tutor for elementary students studying math and Spanish. I spent some time in South Korea, working as an ESL teacher for teenage students. I am available to tutor a number of subjects, beginning with anything in the field of English, including grammar, composition, literature, analytic writing, and all other English specific subjects. I am also available to tutor students who are preparing for various standardized exams, such as the PSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, and others. I like tutoring, because I can get to know my students and their individual learning styles, interests, and strengths. The better I know each student, the better able I am to create lessons that will most benefit them as an individual. I like to have my lessons include a good balance of hard work and fun.
