I fully believe that all students want to succeed and want to learn the sophisticated material. I use my life experience and academic background to better understand the obstacles each student faces with challenging material. I then use that information to give my students support to overcome the struggles they face. I take pride in offering my pupils the tools and tips they need to be successful. As far as my qualifications, I have academic and professional experience. For the last twelve years, I have been working in education in a variety of ways. I have taught English as a foreign language for the Peace Corps, I have taught test prep to high school students, and also worked as an English teacher to students in grades seven through twelve. Additionally, I have tutored seventh and eighth graders and worked as a teacher trainer. I believe that all of these jobs have helped me understand what it is like for learners and how to help them make sense of the learning process. When I am not tutoring, you can find me playing board games, reading, and cooking. I am looking forward to getting to know you and helping you reach and exceed your academic goals.
