Hobbies
Hello, and thank you for reading my tutor profile. My name is Ericka, and I recently graduated from OSU with an M.A. in English. Although I originally wanted to be an instructor of composition, I found that my most meaningful teaching moments happened one-on-one in student conferences. Now, I'm a full-time writing tutor for college and high school students. I specialize in personal statements and analytical research papers, but can consult on any writing assignment you or your student brings to our session. I value and honor the unique perspective and voice each student brings to their writing assignments. It is always my goal to work with the student's personal strengths in order to strategize how to best present, though writing, what it is that they have to offer the world. My personal interests are 19th-Century British literature (<3 those Brontë’s!), piano, yoga, and therapeutic journaling. I look forward to working with you or your student!
