Experience

I've taken graduate level physics and materials classes, undergraduate calculus, chemistry, and German. I've taught lab courses to university students, both in English and German. I am a visual thinker, and it was great to see that help some of the students when their eyes were glazing over with formulae and dry text. Working in industry has given me a great appreciation for and opportunity to practice communicating complicated concepts in simple terms, meeting people where they are coming from. It's also given me appreciation for the value of time and that perseverance and positivity in the face of inevitable setbacks is more important than the setback itself. Hobbies

I've had the pleasure to explore quite a few places with school and work. I lived in Germany for two and half years, and the Netherlands for one and half. During those stays, I visited many of the Western European countries and some of the East. I have also had very nice trips down the western coast of India, and through the interior of Morocco. Along the way, I've tried some really great cuisine, too, and still enjoy doing that in Columbus! I'm interested in the green movement, from alternative fuels and hybrid cars to solar power and efficient building.
